just fixed my 40gb ps3 with this - thanks very much!
if your model's like mine (H), you'll want to pull off the power supply before disconnecting the blu-ray ribbon and wlan transmitter, and you don't have to pull off the back cover to get the motherboard out (you have to apply some gentle upward pressure once the screws are all out though, to unstick it from the old thermal paste).

Don´t worry dudes, you don´t own the hardware, you paid for a license to use it. Take it back to the store and they will replace it free of charge. Corporations are smart, aren´t they? :-P

does playing a game with larger gb ,such as battlefield 3 , greaten the chance of having the ylod back ???

@mtvblade787 That's not the reason why these consoles break.
I sometimes go weeks without even turning my PS3 on. And when I do have it on, it's usually only for an hour or two at a time.
I really don't game much on my PS3.
