Historical footage and dramatic narrative lend this program a sense of immediacy and reveal how key events -- especially the assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo in June 1914 -- helped launch World War I. A Coronet release. 13 minutes, color and b/w.

  • wilhelm was fucking ill son. i would have gone to war for dat nigga ALL DAY. prussian swag.

  • The narrator makes this video worth watching.

  • @MrRammsteinKicksAss US joined in 1917. But your right on everything else.

  • @BremenThug Italy joined 1915 and the US 1916, both as the Allies of the Entente. And the Ottomans (turks) and Bulgarians supported Germany against Russia. Germany won on the Eastern front because of the socialist revolution while they lost in the west

  • @BremenThug I'll explain it: The Austrian Prince Franz-Ferdinand and his wife were murdered by a serbian Nationalist at Sarajevo, June 28th 1914. Afterwards Austria wanted to invade Serbia but Serbia was protected by Russia. Russia was a member of the Entente. Together with France and the UK. Austria was allied with Germany. So Austria declared war on Serbia, Russia declared war on Austria, Germany declared war on Russia and France and one day later the UK declared war on Germany.

  • i wanted to see the whole thing awwe that sucks
