I remember playing this for All-State under Peter L Boonshaft. It was epic. This piece is epic. Compared to what I like, some parts were a bit slow and some parts were a bit fast for me. However, they did a fantastic job.
@nebal95 I found a lot by googling without the middle name. Just go to Jayce Ogren. He composed this while he was a student at St. Olaf College if I remember correctly. He was an assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra for three years. I became aware of him last spring when he stepped on very short notice to replace James Levine with the Boston Symphony for a program that included the world premiere of a song cycle by Peter Lieberson. He sang in an eclectic program in Seattle in Sept 2010

Definitely my favourite concert band piece to play. My HS band played it my senior year and it was fabulous.
