@cmforum - of course, just like with the joke reporting in the Israeli/Arab conflict, too many western journalists prefer to report sensationalism and whatever the "narrative" tells them than give balanced facts.

The rioting was committed during the Tibetan Uprising Day celebrations and were orchestrated from those protests to bring media attention to Tibet and to cause trouble before the Beijing Olympics. Monks in Sichuan even had firearms. The Tibetan protests turned into ethnic violence. Han Chinese and Hui Muslim businesses were exclusively attacked by racist Tibetan mobs and it continued for weeks. Women were burned alive in Lhasa and men on bicycles had their heads smashed in with rock boulders.

It's funny that the riot in Greece are bad and Tebit riot are good freedom fighter. Your western media always like this When China or someother non western friendly country have a mob or riot they are freedom fighter and when same thing happen in a western country the riot become crimnals.

This is a riot. It's not right at all, but where does the anger these people are showing coming from?? Chinese supporters will claim Tibetan has been "liberated" and turned into some sort of people's paradise. This creates a situation in which any Tibetans showing anger and frustration (or violence) MUST be doing so under the direction of the DL. Otherwise, the image of regular Tibetans being happy with China would fall apart.

Yeah I have to agree with buckyucky, this had been going on for along time, CHinese are always portrayed as bad guys through Western propaganda. I know that in China, the minority groups are actually treated better. Tibetans are allowed to wear pocket knives into the city without punishment. Whenever minority groups attack, steal, or vandalize property they are not fined nor punished as severely as the majority group, the Chinese. The real question is who is attacking who?
