Capone ran Chicago and was offered a high rank in "the comission" by luciano which he refused. Luciano was the head of "the comission" and therefore ran the mafia in the whole US. If Luciano had wanted Capone dead it would've happened. If Capone had wanted Luciano dead Capone would've been killed first.

Capone caught a beating and had his face cut in Brooklyn and was chased to Chicago and he couldnt come back to N.Y...Luciano was set up and beat and his face cut and Lucky killed everyone that took part in hurting him and became Boss of all Bosses...see the difference between the two..

capone became big cause of media attention and imprisonment and got his "status" from movies like untouchables wich is mostly fiction
not saying he wasnt of any influence and wasnt responsable for alot of violence in chicago but his role in the whole "mafia" thing is very exaggerated
