Early church fathers spoke of baptizing in the name of the father son and Holy Ghost as early as 70ad not just at the council of Nicea in 325ad. They spoke of the Trinity. It was so little council trying to preach heresy but to defend early church doctrine. Look it up

"If anyone denies that the Father is eternal, that the Son is eternal, and that the Holy Spirit is eternal: he is a heretic. If anyone says that the Son made flesh was not in heaven with the Father while He was on earth: he is a heretic. If anyone denies that the Holy Spirit has all power and knows all things, and is everywhere, just as the Father and the Son: he is a heretic."

@filoIII I'd advised you to do the same. In 1 Jn 5:7, notice John did not say Father Son and Hoy Ghost BUT he did say Father WORD and Holy Ghost. If this verse was trying to teach distinct persons then why didn't John write Son? Because he was referring to the thought plan and mind of God not some separate distinct person. This verse discussed the three roles of Father Word and Holy Ghost of the One God, Jesus Christ, "these three are one."

@SiMichaelAko 1Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.--Careful now.

My question would be is how would trinitarianism be valid in regarding the God of the Holy Bible? To believe in three persons and each to have its own distinct power as the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, you would run into the conflict of one person ranking higher or lower in power, therefore having multiple gods. "...the Lord our God is one Lord." His word is sufficient! God Bless!
