Augustine House is a brand new library and student services centre that is being built to provide students with an improved range of learning opportunities, including state-of-the-art IT facilities and creative learning spaces.
The new building will bring together a library, learning centre and student services under one roof, creating a convenient one-stop-shop for students.
Augustine House is situated close to Canterbury city centre, next to Canterbury East railway station and opposite the bus station, so it will be easy to reach on foot or by public transport.
This is the biggest building project undertaken by the University since the first campus was built in 1963. So far, the project has seen the demolition of Clarkson House, a former 1970s office block which originally stood on the site. Construction is now underway, with an aim of completing the building in Autumn 2009.
