any of you have a problem with making the built in mic to work? im looking for a step-by-step inst. or something, cant get vent to work, getting error "Unable to activate DirectSound for selected device.
DirectSoundCaptureCreate failed. HR=DSERR_NODRIVER. No sound driver is available for use" and "VoiceCommMixerStart: Invalid voice mux selection. (-1)"

I've been doing a little research, and the asus G71v is much better than the g50. I'd go with that one cuz its quad core! but this is one looks wayyyy better if you're on a budget.

Its been discontinued, Best Buy now has the 7805U, which is exactly the same, currently on same for $1040
