Telephone handset cords are sold in two common lengths, 6 foot and 12 foot. However, when you receive your cable the length will only be 10 or 20 inches. This is because the industry standard for measuring handset cords is to measure the uncoiled length. Are cords are neatly coiled to save space. So if you buy a 6 foot cable understand that the cable can stretch to 10 feet, but the at rest length is only 10 inches.
