  • You would be a great art teacher. I wish I had the honor of working with you. I have always separated my doodles from my sketching and now you have shown me they should be one and the same. I will take your advice. The thing you said about doodling while on the phone, I do that ALL the time :) thank you very much.

  • Haha Zen and the art of sketching... almost. You've taught me more in the half hour I watched your videos than years in high school art. Not only do you cover the technical scientific side, but the mood and feel of art. You cover it all, bravo.

  • I get the feeling you were influenced heavily by Bob Ross? Which is just fine with me.

  • Nice keep up the vids.

  • Right?

  • great job

  • What he said around 7:17 made me cry. The one about not having to mind about making mistakes and just drawing your heart out like WHOO! for the fun of it. I do that when i'm drawing (especially when i'm using a nice pencil haha), and I'm glad I now know that that's what we're supposed to do after all: that drawing's more of fun than perfection. heee:D This guy's a fun teacher.

  • very nice vids. website appears to be down though. shame

  • Thanks! Really enjoyed it, haven't drawn much lately. Artists block or something. This should get me back. :)

  • Wow learned a lot in just 30 minutes. I've drawn ever since I was a kid, but I've learned a lot to improve my current drawings. Thank you.

  • i've never thought about sketches like that, just jutting down whatever you feel like without your brain telling you what to do as fast as you can. i've never really done sketches i've always just started out with the finished product and i slave over the errors i make and you know what, the finished product usually sucks. i think i need to start sketching and just lighten the fuck up about errors because i practically punch myself in the face over them. i couldn't have learned this in art class
