Acer Aspire one running Ubuntu 11.04. As you may or may not know, the 8GB SSD models can hang up very often to to the drives read/write speeds. This netbook had an additional 1GB RAM installed and drive was erased and Ubuntu was installed. Atom 1.60GHz. Here, just showing some neat standard effects from Compiz. There is a theme on currently with dock! The netbook runs fantastic, and Ubuntu is proving itself well. I'm also new to Linux!

Video was made on my iPhone using Silent Film Director. Effects and Music do not belong to me in respects to their owner.

  • stick with linux.. its much better than windows and far faster and no viruses... and to top it all off its a free OS.. i just installed this version 11.04 on a laptop that kept crashing with windows and mine is working great with it.

  • @excriminal1 I agree that it's a great running operating systrem. It's completely overtaken windows on my netbook, and boots along side windows on my other PC. I just can't yet completely pull the trigger as my go-to OS. I've been trying WINE compatibility and it seems good, just not everything I need is working cross-platform... yet.
