On December 5th, 2007, a huge northwest swell came bombing into the Southbay of Los Angeles. At the Redondo Beach Breakwater, there were a few brave souls that found huge barrels and smooth faces to conquer.
The last wave on the video was the wave of the day. At least 20 foot at the take off, this young surfer rides the beast perfectly into surfing history. Incredible!

how do they dive deep enough with the board not to get under the wave? when i tried surfing i ditched the board most of the time and swam under the wave.

@mxwet08 yeah jumpinprods right shitpipe is all the way over by dockweiler, redondo breakwater is closer to the southside of hermosa beach pier.. thats like a half hour drive difference!!

You'd think with all the money floating around the south bay that somebody would be able to make a vid that doesn't look like it was recorded with a VHS recorder from 1985.

Thats funny. I guess you never posted a 10 minute video on Youtube. You have toi compress 4 Gigabytes into less that 100 megabytes. Hmmm, Umm,,, Yeah,,, that actually does destroy the quality ... just a bit.... Ummm... yeah.
