ugh i dont get how this documentary can at one point say that buddhism is to be ordinary, and then tell how Buddha says to the 5 aesthetics they are wrong to say he is ordinary and their equal. so to realise you are ordinary makes you extraordinary?

@awshucks. "I think, therefore I am" is part of the puzzle. The problem is that what "I" am - the identity, self, soul, body etc, can all be divided without remainder. You are right its not just being in the moment exclusively as that still has an concept behind it - you can be trapped in the moment the same. The problem is formulaic. Once attached to the assumption "I am" or "soul", people then try to support that assumption. Thought to justify a thinker. From that comes all the problems.

Thank you for posting.
A very well put together documentary and this section is excellent. Nirvana is your own body and mind and the quality of this moment. Pay attention to everything around you and understand that the world is not only your own Nirvana. But made up of things and people around you. Be good, sincere and reach a state of unselfleshness and you will be on the right path. Monetary things in life you cannot take with you they are insignificant in essence.
