Ulysses was by far one of my most favorite people... The last time I talked to him I was in Atlanta, back in 2008. I was just sitting here tonight and he crossed my mind. So i typed his name into google... Only turn learn that he has passed on. I'm crushed.
I will never forget him. I feel like he opened me up to a new world when I studied music with him. I feel like I owe it to him to finish recording my demo and be the singer that he showed me I can be.... Ulysses you are truly missed.

This was a very special day, June 7th, 2008. I was at Ulysses' class earlier in the day at Vy Higginsen's MaMa Foundation on 126th Street and he was looking forward to the Banana Pudding session that evening. Ulysses was one of the sweetest men ever to walk on this planet - he asked me to "give him some sugar" that day, and I did, but he was sweet enough already.
