@pablovanz Ah the Gladstone,there has never been another venue to compete!I saw so many great bands there,saw the Chills before anyone knew about them,was about 50people in the pub.I got to sit in the front row and they played an uptempo version of Kalidescope World because I asked them to.My favourite song at the time.Shame there has never been another venue that promoted NZ music as well.These are now called "the god old days"

Saw these guys somewhere... Dunedin, I think. The crowd were literally lining the walls and back of the venue, plastered there by the sonic onslaught, like a great wind was driving them back. Fantastic!

remember those nights at the gladstone hotel in chch? not very big, packed to the gunnels and the gordons playing SO loud it'd just about make your ears bleed. and we couldn't get enough of it! and then the parties that followed ...
