The video opens with some locomotives still receiving final preparations in Sheffield Park yard before they move 'off shed' to begin the days work. The regular hourly service trains were in the charge of BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No.80151, SE&CR Class P 0-6-0T No.178 & SE&CR Class C 0-6-0 No.592 double-headed the second. Dorking Greystone Lime Co. No. 3 "Captain Baxter" 0-4-0T headed the Vintage Goods train, while SE&CR Class P 0-6-0T No.323 "Bluebell" on brake-van rides at Horsted Keynes station.

  • I always feel that railways are more than just featuring trains passing by, its the people as well as the locos that makes any event, as well as the smells....but that will have to wait until they manage to get that into a camera!!!!!!
