the point I was trying to make with the divorce rates is that God isn't obligated to making marriages last. the reason I brought up the statistically lower divorce rates among church-goers was that it was stated by howstuffworks.com, a website made by marhsall brain. I was trying to illustrate where marshall brain is self-contradictory

It's fair to wonder why this god keeps getting the credit for "miracles" that we know can result from the body's own abilities (such as the occasional remission of cancer due to the body's own autoimmune properties), while never extending himself to heal the body in ways we know it cannot naturally, such as regrowing limbs or severed spinal cords. Without being coy, one honest answer is the reason he never does these things is that he simply doesn't exist to do them.

If the things your god said to, and promised to, the Jews are not applicable to Christians, then why is the Old Testament even in the Bible? Why are we constantly enjoined to obey the Ten Commandments if they are part of a law you claim gentiles are excused? How can Jesus be the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy if the very nature of his existence is to negate the Old Testament?

I find it funy that you criticise the Gosple of Thomas for being written in the late 2nd century when NO Gospel was written by anyone who knew Jesus in the flesh.
