Heil Heritage Microphone

If you have tried a Heil PR (professional) series PR-20, you'll have a good idea of the Heritage sound. That's because Bob didn't settle for a cheap element in a beautiful enclosure.

The Heritage is an excellent microphone to show off on video, due to its brightly polished chrome housing that shines like the bumper of a '57 Chevy.

Depends a lot on the screamer? The Heritage is a tough dynamic.

I've seen PR-30's inches away from a stadium guitar amp. If you want one for on-stage and are concerned about blowing the element, you may want to check with HeilSound and get their opinion.

this mic sounds very treble heavy, is there much processing on this clip? I'd love a birdcage type mic, but i every one i've heard sounds a little 'harsh' if that makes sense...

Our artist niva the soul diva is a big fan of heil and uses the pink pr20 in all of her shows. all of the sound techs are very impressed with the mic and usually say they have never heard of heil.

Obviously, this guy's a pro and that adds a lot to the sound as well. But I gotta say, I quite like the sound of this mic. It's a bit thin in the bass though and I hear some sort of resonance or maybe it's slight distortion in the upper mid somewhere. But that might have been generated elsewhere in the chain, I wouldn't know obviously. Thanks for the review though.
