Fallout 3 PC Game Crash - FIXED! (read info)

UPDATE: FIXED!

Delete contents of original Fallout 3 folder

Go to Mininova dot org, serach for "fallout 3 skullptura"

Download "Full Rip" & "Final Fix" wi utorrent

Unrar rip to empty folder fallout3 and install(takes ages)

Unrar Final Fix to above folder with all files going into fallout 3 folder and none into fallout 3 data folder, run ffix.

Play - your saves will still be there as the save games aren't stored in fallout 3 folder

If you own the original game then this technically ain't piracy!

Original Info:
Using Windows Vista 32bit on a clean boot - no other apps running. Fallout 3 with 1.0.0.15 patch applied. Graphics have been reduced (even though my system can easily handle this game) Game sometimes randomly crashes every half hour or so. This particular bit in video always crashes when I try to go into Red's house.

I also can't talk to man in saloon in megatron

Stop downloading rips they DONT WORK, you have to downlod the iso and use a key gen, it's pretty much the same thing as using the actual game disc as if you bought it, works all the time forr me and trust I have experence and have downloaded hundreds of games for xbox, xbox 360, ps2 psp, pc, ds and many more and I never have successfully gotten a rip to work without any bugs. Download the ISO!!!!!

@MrKillPro This video shows an actual original DVD install of the game not working. Hence downloading the ISO would result in same problem The solution at the time was to install the Rip & Fix which did work. I will agree with you in most cases that Rips can be a bit dubious but this is the exception to that rule. Anyway this vid is about 2 years out of date now anyway as the game has apparently (I don't play this game anymore) been patched

@JabberCT With environments that are enormous with high res textures. PC versions don't really crash on me.

Bethesda - Worst company in gaming history. A million hits on any of their games crashing or freezing and they never release patches that fix it. From Morrowind to FO3 the crashes have actually increased. They can take Skyrim and shove it up their non-supportive asses.
