Well, I know Paulo Coelho's books are far from being the best. The literature quality of them is poor. But that doesn't make him an untalented writer. You can't call a person who has his books translated in more than 50 languages untalented. I don't like PCoelho's books. They are fairytales for kids, but people like them.

It's just like B. Spears, she can't sing but she is a success. Unfortunately.

I found the Blog just as this competition was in full swing and later read the book. I enjoyed seeing some of the creations that people worked on from so many parts of the world. Each one was very unique. It was also a treat for the imagination to see how this great story was brought to life within those interpretations. Bravo, great idea Paulo and congrats to Carolena! I red the alchemist and what I found is something not original, the metaphors not creative at all, really easy to follow and foreseen it I am not a literate person, but I think there are a lot of better writers than him.
