Episode Synopsis : For the past five years Australian Idol has been a platform for many young artists to jump start their careers. Producing such artists as Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll and The Young Divas. Now it's back, and better than ever! Through auditions, concerts and voting by the public, one person will be crowned 'Australian Idol' and will receive a one million dollar recording contract and national fame. Hosted by Channel [V]'s hosts Andrew G, James "Jimmy" Mathison and (as of 2008) Ricki Lee Coulter; and judged by Mark Holden, Marcia Hines and Kyle Sandilands, this the only competition that is sure to produce more than one star but only one Australian Idol.
