@Caitlin6131 i think you'r right in someway. But there's also John's eyebrow (Hasn't phoned his sister) or John's mouth ( new toothbrush) nobody but Sherlock would mach this things. Btw, I don't think Sherlock knew all this stuff before.

I don't like this bit, because what he sees from looking at John he can only analyse because he knows him, such as "Night out with Stamford", it's not his intelligence, it's just him matching up facts with their effects on John's appearance.
