didn't see the dance coming!!

@ham4864. Yeah it's because whey chose intelligence over rhythm. Example: "He can't dance, but he sure knows his stuff." I wouldn't go for an opposite choice myself. Have fun dancing.

@ham4864 that's because a black guy stole it.

Hi, is the sound of the Lacie FireWire better than the 20" iMac 2008?
Thanks. YouTube metrics indicate that most viewers are bailing out before the dance on this video...so it pays to watch videos to the end...sometimes

I would stay away from the adapters. I know that LockerGnome suggests using them but to me, that just introduces another place for problems to occur. I would go to Amazon and buy a mid-priced 4-to-9 pin cable (around $10 - $15). There is no reason to pay $30 for this cable. The mid-priced cables have always worked fine for me. Stay away from the super cheap cables. See my video on "Is FireWire 800 backwards compatible?" That video download demo was done in one take...no problems.

If you are buying from eBay and using a Windows computer, make sure they include the CD. You will need to load drivers on a Windows system. No need to load drivers if you are using a Mac.

I just tried the speakers. It appears that treble comes out of the front of the speakers and bass out of the back of the speakers. it is my guess that the little holes you asked about enhance the bass. That is certainly where the bass is the loudest. Although my experience is limited, the LaCie speakers sound better with better bass and more volume than the Altec-Lansing USB speakers I tried in the past in the same price range. 45 Watts w/FW vs 2.5 Watts w/USB gave me better volume.

Good question. I left them at work. Let me look at them tomorrow and get back to you. Thanks for the questions.
