The video was recorded in Dunquin (Dingle peninsula), Ventry Harbour and in Smerwick Harbour, Ireland in September 2009.

As Ive mentioned in About me info on my channel, at this moment Im working on my Underwater Ireland project alone. Im trying to get help or support from different sources including Irish authorities but no luck at the moment. It discourages me but I dont want to give up because my aim is to make people aware of all this hidden beauty. And if those who have money and power dont want to help maybe simple people like me will not be as ignorant. If you like what you are watching right now please help me simply by rating, commenting, sending a link of this video to your friends. With your help I will succeed! Thanks.

  • Sea trout or salmon? - possibly sea trout given straight line of tail (salmon more forked) but hey that clip is just gives amazing insight to salmonids in marine environment. Appears to be on its own but well fed and cracking dorsal fin! Underwaterireland - well done

  • @liocarcinus You right - it was sea trout. I see you have lots of nice shoots as well. I would like to bring my gear to your place to film in HD underwater.

  • nice videos, we should meet up as i shoot video above water we may be able to combine the two.

  • @MrKingfisher3 Thanks. Great idea, let me know about your plans for the next season.

  • seatrout

  • thats definitely a salmon

  • @underwaterireland I will be fishing the cork and kerry coast all through the winter for bass etc., then i start again in january 17th for salmon and trout from february 15th. If you are down this part of the country let me know and we can meet up for a chat.

  • @underwaterireland The location is a bit difficult (Salmon Fishery) but leave it with me. RTE were ready to run with it but evening News was too congested so missed out, supposed to be still on the cards for 2011. What about filming a shoal of salmon entering an estuary from the sea, that would be something! Check out National Geographic July 2003 shoot in Killary Harbour

  • @ 2:00 it's a seatrout I think
