  • you cant sing lol

  • Yeah I know - but God loves a tryer! lol

  • Great lesson and pretty good singing, too. Thanks. That guitar sounds mighty jangley, though. Tons of super bright (almost tinny) treble and no bass to speak of at all. Is that characteristic of Taylors or did you just put new strings on or is it me?

  • Must be the speakers on your PC!!

  • I have a Taylor just like that, and mine doesn't sound as tinney. I think its the recording. Taylors are a little brighter through the midrange, . . .

The best sounding guitar I've heard for bass is my dad's 1954 Martin D-18. No kidding, man, over 50 years old, and it just gets better sounding all the time. Wonderful bass.

  • It's an 814ce and I'm really happy with it. It gives a bright tone but also the bass is there when you want it. Martins for me are just to bassey throughout the whole range. Also I prefer the Taylor fretboard. My fingers feel much more comfortable on it. However, guitars are a personal thing and each to their own. I always find it amazing how you get attached to a guitar.

  • thanks for the simplified lesson. i have been trying to learn this song from old footage and tabs but there are many chord changes that seem rushed. good job

Hello, The way I play it is - after you strum the 'C' chord keep the chord formation and pluck the d-string followed by the g-string, then a slight pause followed by the g-string again and then b-string and finally the e-string immediately change to the D chord and strum that. hope this helps. Cheers Bri

  • Good job and nice job of explaining what's going on in this great tune! Kudos!

  • Reeel Nice. You got the motown groove. Great feel on the guitar. Played strong.
