Fantastic! thanks for posting this classic performance. Paul Desmond was the greatest. The entire group was a flawless combination of talent and great imagination that has blessed us with this kind of timeless music.

It's always wonderful to see footage of jazz greats playing such fantastic tunes... "It's A Raggy Waltz" is my favorite DB tune. What I really love about this video is how much fun the musicians are clearly having while they play. Look at the band's admiring faces as Paul Desmond solos, and those looks Eugene Wright flashes Joe Morello when Brubeck starts playing those blues tremolos. Spectacular.

Paul Desmond is and allways will be the God of the Alto sax. The playing is sublime & Joe Morello the finest drummer of all.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet invented Cool
The music is timeless.

For being nearly 50 years old, the sound is amazing. Great performance!

Whoa, Paul busts out from the melody and dives into the gut bucket with that blues riff and sets the mood for the entire song. I love Dave because when he's not soloing, he's enjoying the music as an on-stage listener. When Dave's up for his solo, he's clearly inspired by Paul.
