@jonathan45278 LOL! How about 1) not breaking vows you have made and 2) not having affairs when you are married? Prevents a whole lot of problems. But then, that would entail self control on both sides. And we can't have that, right? Better to blame religion!
By the way, the Bible never teaches those who want to serve God as a profession are to be kept single.

I liked this mini series but the story line just frustrates me. Why is it that the Catholic church just seems to ruin everything. Just think how good life would have been for all the characters in this film if the church wasn't there to muck everything up. Father de Bricasar should have never accepted the house to the church, thus taking it away from the family after the matriach died.
