  • Truth is, there are actually several ways to put up a fence depending on the fence material and design, locale, soil type, typical weather conditions, etc.. This one was installed according to the manufacturer's recommendations and guidance.

  • Thank you!

  • the manufacturer should make the consumer aware that the instructions are based upon dade county florida code and recommendations. if you are setting any type of post in clay soil the gravel at the bottom wont do you any good because it will not drain the water will just sit there and pool up under the post. the hollow post allows cold air to reach the water freezing it causing it to expand and lift the post just like a frost heave.best to fill the hole with concrete to 2-3 inches below ground.

  • the manufacturer should let the consumer be aware that the recommended methods are per dade county florida engineers code and recommendations. if you have a clay type soil you do not want gravel at the bottom because it wont drain good anyways and with a hollow post allows cold air to the water sitting in the gravel causing it to freeze and expand lifting the post.bracing the post is a waste of time mix your concrete a little thicker and it will hold plumb and true. also.....

  • forget the auger, check out the straight N level system. It is way faster and easier. You don't need three or even two people fighting with an auger. You don't even have to wait for the cement to cure......because you don't use cement......

  • quick and direct to the essential steps.. thanks
