Hello my dear students... HotForWords here with a VLOG actually.. something I have never really.. hey wait a minute (looking at arms)... I'm all animated here! Wow!! This is cool! Maybe I can fly around!! Marina flys around. Then lands back in front of the camera.




Wow! That was cool.. anyway.. on to today's VLOG.

Because a lot of people ask me this, I'm going to tell you how I made it from being poor girl from a small town outside of Moscow to living in Hollywood, California.

When I was 18 years old, while freezing in my room in Russia, I watched a cheesy TV show called Santa Barbara, where everyone was beautiful, walking around on the gorgeous WARM beaches. When I saw that, I said to myself - "I AM GOING TO GO TO AMERICA!" So I started to plan.

Now, how does a poor girl from a small town in Russia come it to America? Well.. some Russian women become strippers. Well.. I am the worst dancer in the world, when I dance I'm so clumsy it actually rains... not money, but actual rain! Some girls become pen-pals with American men and marry them to come to America, but I was 18 years old, and marriage was the furthest thing from my mind. Then I thought "I'll become a translator"! That will get me to America, and that's when I decided to become a language expert at college.

While I was in college getting my language degrees, I walked into my professors office one day and saw a postcard on her desk that said "Live in America by being a nanny!" I picked the card up and asked my teacher about it, but she said.. don't bother, tens of thousands of girls apply for that and only 1 out of 10,000 get it! But I took the card anyway.. it wouldn't hurt having an alternate means of getting to the States.

I applied, not expecting anything, and finished my degrees. When I graduated, I got a call from the agency saying that I had been accepted to go to America, and what state would I like to go to? I said "California of course!" and the person on the line said, "No.. everyone tries to get California.. you need to pick a state like Alabama or something".. I said "NO.. put me down for California!" and the person said "Fine.. but you're not going to get California." and hung up. The next day, the person called, befuddled and said "Umm.. there is a family in San Fransisco that wants a nanny. Pack your bags, you're going to America!"

I packed my bags, flew to San Fransisco and became the nanny for an awesome autistic boy for a couple years. I really loved being his nanny and he loved me.. but the mother of the child got jealous thinking that her husband was looking at me in a funny way. So she fired me! I then packed my bags, moved to Hollywood, put my language degrees to work, and created HotForWords.

There you go my dear students.. that's my story on how I was able to come to America.

I agree with HerGuardianAngel. This woman has done nothing to earn those comments. She's living the American Dream by making the most of the opportunities given her. Until we find out she actually did something unscrupulous to get where she is, leave her the f*** alone!
