The beginning to this song is pretty awesome. The rainstorm gives the song a slightly eerie feeling. Why how could there not be an eerie feeling about wondering in the dark through the forest trying to recover the moon? [Especially to our not-being-able-to-see-in-the-dark heroine, Reimu.]

I feel the singer slightly ruins the song however..she can't keep her notes in some parts, and at times she goes off key. Eh, but hey, I'm picky when it comes to music. [I was hoping to major in music but right now looks like it's not happening.]

Have you read the english translation of the song? Those parts she breaks the notes in make sense. When she's breaking the notes, it gives a "crying" effect, and during that part of the song she's talking about her failures at dressing like a girl, and how kids thought she was a boy. She even had a girl fall in love with her.

The song is really sad, so the note-breaking is appropriate. c:

It is a really sad song. Especially considering that the sadness comes from the vocals, not the music.

Imo i like when the vocals goes off key and not keeping the notes at the end, it just gives a cute "im bored of this" feeling x3 ...and that her voice sometimes breaks too, it makes it rly cool o:
