@Capacity2005 Its nothing to do with politics "here pal". Im a protestant, the band in this video is a protestant band so its not politics. And standard of playing does matter. Anyone that says it doesnt is an idiot and obviously doesnt want to strive to be the best they can.

@skerr661 I'm on about the drumming not the politics here pal. Even if they do get drummers out in 6 months as long as they are enjoying it and their audience also enjoy what they play I do not think the standard really matters.

@Capacity2005 I agree with you. I dont know what country your from but I hate flute bands and if you are from northern ireland you may understand what i mean lol. and the flute bands can get their drummers out with about 6 months of lessons, and this reflects in their playing.

@skerr661 It doesn't matter how you hold your sticks it's how you play with them that counts, some American Rudimental drummers (DCI etc) look down on the pipe band grip as they see it as to open and loose. It's all complete shite, as long as it sounds good and rudiments are executed well who cares. And for the record pipe band drumming is not the mecca of rudimental drumming, I have learnt more from American rudimental drumming in 1 year than 7 in pipe band but respect all styles of the world.
