My family made sushi! Sushi is the ancient art of wrapping fish in stuff. They called this technique, "Sushirus". It dates back to when the ancient Egyptians went through periods of famine and relied on a new method of preserving fish from the Nile River. Eventually, Moses took the sushi recipe with him when he led the Jews to Japan and spread his knowledge of sushi among the Japanese.

My favorite Japanese restaurant, in my current town, is ran by an older chinese lady and her son. The head chef and sushi chef are japanese, and the rest of the wait staff are American with some sort of Asian ancestory... Not sure what that has to do with sushi though... :)

inneresting!! i work at a japanese grocery store/restaurant and all the sushi chefs are ecuadorian, mexican and japanese. hehe!!
