  • @MonkOfSkunk420 I learnt Electronics Engineering at Radio college in UK and the word IS solder. It's a soft ol and sounds similar to salter, except it's a d, not a t. Now where did I leave that cuppa (h). Shoes are soled. Wellies are sold but solder sounds like alder not older or soldier. Perhaps one day, I'll look in the OED to see if it reflects engineering practise as taught to me under the guidance of B/TEC

  • @MonkOfSkunk420 It's called a dialect, they have them in England too. I'm sure you don't speak RP every moment of your life, so maybe it is not essential that you point out our "incorrect" pronunciation. Also, I recognize your humor (sorry, humour) and I am simply replying in kind. Yours jocularly, Watchy.

  • This guy is fucking awesome.

  • Notice to all americans. There is an L in the word Solder. A thing which has been purchased is not SOD now is it. The L is not silent.

it's pronounced sold-er as in i sold my old amp recently. Yours frustratedly, a person from the country where our language was invented.

Good videos, these, even a smart arse like me can learn from them. Especially if self-taught like i am - these videos put into words many things I have observed, and some of the science behind other good practices.

  • LOL @ yum499

  • How to Solder: Be careful, have fun, clean your tip, let the iron flow into what ever the F*ck your soldering. And your done.

    Amazing tutorial... NEXT!

  • @thao228 and he is grinning.
