Andal Kalyanam at Mukthi Nilayam

September 2nd, 2009 - was a memorable day in Mukthi Nilayam. It was the 3rd anniversary of the inaugration of the MUKTHI STUPI. To add more to the sweetness of the Madhura Bhava, Swami had asked Amma to perform "Andal Kalyanam" on that day. Amma, during her sadhana days, back in 1970s and 80s, she considered herself as Andal, and meditate upon the marriage verses of Thiruapavai. She often had visions where the devas came to her house, and asked her Dad to give her in marriage to Lord Krishna, and her Dad went in ecstasy. Celestial maidens decorated Amma, and took her to the marriage hall and Her beloved Lord married her. To confirm her one-pointed devotion, and himalayan sacrifice and yearning, Swami asked her to perform this Andal Kalyanam, to indicate that Amma's mission in this world is coming to a fruitful end.

Right after September 2nd, it was announced that a similar Andal Kalyanam would be performed in Prashanti Nilayam also, from September 9 to 11, 2009.

On the day of the Andal Kalyanam, beneath the red carpet spread over the marriage hall to invite Amma & Krishna, the word SAI materialized in the form of rubber stamps. There were 16 stamps of SAI, printed so nicely and beautifully !!! Later Swami told Amma in the afternoon's meditation, that He had responded to her prayers, where Amma had invited the Lord to come into the decorated mantapam. Swami said He had come with all His glories, and all the 16 Divine Qualities.
