These were my first 2 jumps with the GoPro HD Hero. I used the standard stick on helmet mount. There is a lot of shake, I think this is because the camera does not fit very tightly into the mount (I was wearing a camera helmet with chincup). Next time I'll try a litte tape to see if that stabilizes it. Otherwise, seems to work great. 720p/30fps/edited with premiere pro cs4 in native mp4.

  • what is the song...? nice vid men...

  • @aleksiukas thank you! The song is Back to Earth by Rusted Root.

  • Did you get the little rubber insert that fits between the base once you slide it in and the mount? I've seen other clips that have the rattle too, I don't get any at all with the rubber in place. Mine is white, I hear they sometimes come in orange also.

  • @snubagod thanks!! someone else pointed that out to me as well, I had no idea what that was for when I made this video. I've used it in videos since. I still had a tiny bit of shake even with the rubber piece, so I also shove a little piece of cardstock under the camera when putting it on the mount, and that has pretty much eliminated the problem.

  • What version of Windows are you using with Premier Pro? Think it will work with Elements also? Did not work well with Elements Trial Version. I never could get the frame rate to keep up it kept trying to re-render during the entire edit...

  • XP, not sure about using elements. 60fps may also be a bit much for windows to handle, at least that would be my guess, I haven't tried 60 myself yet.

  • Sick video! I love the backflip exit at the beginning!

  • wow man u have balls doing that

  • I'm now using adobe premiere pro cs4, it will edit mp4 natively. Mp4 is still a pain though with windows. Good luck!

  • Great quality much better than standard GoPro. I like the 720P 60FPS mode best. I have also shot one test skydiving video with it also posted on youtube in my account. Question: What did you use to edit with I have found .mp4 format much harder to work with not native to XP or WMM and does not convert will with .codec or converters. I'm looking for a better editor that will work with XP and .mp4's without so many issues.

    Thanks! Please respond!
