The Barack Obama Illusion

Last time I checked in the dictionary, CHANGE had a slightly different meaning. Obama led a deceiptful campaign and is now leading the United States to Bankruptcy and other losses of freedom.

No change:
Patriot Act
Hundreds of military bases
State of War with more deployments
Extraordinary renditions
Government Spending through the roof
Immoral Bailouts
Lobbyists rewarded
No shift in who influences decisions (same financials, pharma, and military-industrial complex lobbyists turned into government officials.
Forced conscription to a 3 months civil force.

How's that for change?

I agree with you completely. I feel like all of my family and friends disagree with me. They are starting to realize that they were wrong and I was right. I think it's hard for them to admit that they were wrong when they voted and stood for him in family/friend arguments. Even the most hard line obama supporters are being very quite about they're support right now among my circle of friends.

obama is a puppet on a string and the financial oligarchy that runs this country through the Fed is dangling him...He gets an A in teleprompter reading. Support Ron Paul's bill HR 1207 and lets audit the FED...call your congressman and help get this bill passed

Yeah, I know about that debate. It was the topic of some college paper I did about 5 years ago. I think it was the color of the suit that was unconventional, like, very light, instead of the traditional dark suit. Thanks for the support!

I agree that it is unfortunate that people everywhere are easily sold on form than on content. One of the best modern examples of this is the somewhat famous Nixon - Kennedy debate. Nixon won that debate with people that only used the radio to listen to it. But on TV Nixon did poorly with viewers. Because of the bright lights, he sweated and looked nervous.

Anyway, don't stop what you're doing. The more voices speaking out against this out of control government, the better. You'll improve.

Oh, and one more thing, the halting you mention, even if it is not a personal styling/aesthetic choice, which would be totally valid, is due to me not being a native english speaker. I am Portuguese, and I bet my english is a thousand times better than 99% of english-speaking audience's portuguese. So no wonder I'm going to have blanks and need to talk slow, sometimes painfully slow, not to mess up royally. I do what I can, and that is more than most. Be cool.
