@CarolineTurpentine A subsoil with a high amount of calcium is crucial to producing great wine, it's the rule in France, and there are only few places like that. When we really get back to traditional agricultural practices and have longer lasting, deeper rooting vines, this difference will show again fully.

@NewportCoastCA french people make cheap ass wines too. not everything produced in that country is amazing. and french wines dominate certain categories of wine, but not all. not all types of grapes can be cultivated form fraces, which is why italy, spain, switzerland, new zealand, california and yes, several south american countries are top in other categories of wine.

French wine is the best and how do I know this is because my uncle owns a really high end restaurant and French wine is the star of the show fuck wine from chile, argentina and south africa their gross and maybe 1 or 2 australian wines are good thats it
