@dart68gts All of those boats (even the jets) run V8 Power from the automotive world. Hopefully you're drunk and not really that dumb... lol

With same horsepower and hull weight, yeppers the v-drive will go a bit faster than a jet propelled boat. The jetboat will have more hull in contact with the surface of the water, even with a trim nozzel. However, try turning the wheel over hard at WOT and see which one kills ya! V-Drive boats are dangerous at high speeds, they're more prone to flipping.
I've owned my jetboat since 1989 and love the thing, it's a blast to kneeboard and waterski behind. Regards and best wishes! :-)

@azgirl15012 My buddy Randall has a V-drive, he's always working on it while the rest of us are driving our jets. My 9 year son has driven my jet, him and his buddy has tubed behind the jet, my nephew has wake boarded behind the jet. and my wife can drive the jet. Check my channel for a 4 minute vid of my Glastron crossing the lake at WOT throwing a roost with 5 of us in the boat. That's good times on the water right there. It's now going through an EFI LS1 conversion. I can do complicated.

@azgirl15012 The girls would be wife, daughter, freinds. The Winternationals were in Corpus Cristi this weekend. Some really fast v-drive and jet boats were there. Again though, the numbers are what they are. About 10 v-drives and 125 jets.

@vdrivevideo Exactly like he said complicated in other words he doesn't know Sh**! No worries the girls he thinks he is getting with the jet are the bimbos you hear about at Havasu during spring break, key word being BIMBOS. It's ok it takes all kinds of people to make the world go around, evan dumb ones. V-Drive Flatty's all the way!!!!!!!

@blazeracer1 I couldn't DISAGREE more! I am a 28 year woman and I grew up with a V-Drive and I can tell you girls do care! My dad had freinds with jet boats as well and being on both I can honestly say I prefer a V-drive any day. I guess when you say complicated that means for you! As far as numbers you said it yourself Jets= cheap so get a better job and be able to afford a nicer boat V-drive ha ha ha

V-Drive all the way...

Stop the pissing contest. All fast boats are cool. Jet or V-Drive. Anything with a big engine and a cool paint job that gets peoples heart pumping is awesome in my book.

A v-8 in a 16ft aluminum hull...lol

Apples to oranges is it... If we are talking "fast boats", who cares about back seats and reverse.. I might pull the passenger seat from my 2 seater Hondo just so they can't bitch at me! Jets are GAY...unless they have a roll cage or are charging up white water IMO....
This is comparing apples and oranges. Jet, reverse - V-drive, no reverse; Jet, back seat - V-drive, no back seat (usually); Jets, simple and cheap - V-drive, expensive and complicated; and finally, Jet, chicks dig em - V-drive, chicks could care less (goes to the back seat thing). Check out the video from the 2011 Tawakoni Hot Boat Regatta here in TX. About 90 jet boats, TWO v-drive boats. The numbers don't lie.... V-drives may be fast, but they suck.

@blazeracer1 You're a fool if you believe all that. Come out west and we'll show you how it's done. And take a look at some of my other boat vids.

@vdrivevideo Checked out your video from the CP Regatta at Aha Quinn. Same deal, about 50 jet boats and only a couple of V-drives. Havasu was the same way when we used to go there. I'll agree that a V-drive is faster than a jet, but in all other aspects jets are better. Take a look at your own videos.

@blazeracer1 Yes, jets are better at being slow. lol I have 2 v-drives. 1 has back seats and the other doesn't. Reverse is done either with a transmission or a v-drive box that is set up with it. If you knew anything I wouldn't have to explain all that.
Jets are better in shallow water and that's about it, but that's my opinion and you're welcome to yours. Check out my other boat videos and you may open your eyes,
