Hepburn was a pioneer of the Emphatic Resonance acting technique without even knowing it. It is so easy to become so invested in her characters as if we were watching living people, as is most evident in this, one of her most powerful scenes.

When I think of GREAT Golden Hollywood classics....this has to be top on my list. The ensemble was first rate...the acting superb...and the clothes were classic. I just got it from NetFlicks and saw it over last weekend. I tried to copy it to my computer but it wouldn't take : (=. I will have to actually buy it I love it that much. I would also recomment Alice Adams (if you are into watching classic disfunctional families and watch them in all their 1930's glory). All About Eve is another.
