@bluecougar57 Se sei italiano , sai cos'e' la musica leggera o POPolare italiana . It' has been called that way for decades . They way they classify and separate music in the record stord is quite wrong sometimes , like putting Bocelli easy listening albums as "Amore" in the classical . @bluecougar57 Ok , in Italia questa e' MUSICA LEGGERA , which is POPular music , that's where the word pop comes from . so are Lucio Dalla , Renato Zero and many others including Bocelli when he doesn't do legitimate opera . Easy listening is anything from Frank Sinatra (who was popular music too in his time) to this or Bocelli in his pop albums . .Easy listening is also pop or musica leggera .

@87redsilver Actually I am Italian, isn't that rather rude to say that because someone isn't from a particular country that they wouldn't understand what to define certain music as.  You are being rather general in calling everything else from other countries 'pop. This is not what I would call pop, I live in the UK and know what 'pop' is, Bocelli is defined and marketed as an opera star, This is described as 'easy-listening' music in the UK, btw, pop is outdated as a word in the UK.!

@bluecougar57 Well , I was explaining why I compared him to Bocelli . You may not be Italian . How would you define this if not pop ? It's not opera, it 's not even 'pop opera' , it's not jazz , or anything else . "Italian music" ? That is too general . I'm from Italy and we call this pop , Italian pop , there's French pop , Japanese , American , etc. This is pop . What would you call it ?

@87redsilver So if you are talking about marketing why not say that in your comment rather than just be negative, and why compare anyone with somebody else, just accept the artist for who they are, personally I don't think he is a pop singer..

@bluecougar57 I was talking about the idea behind the marketing ...Bocelli recorded ' "Credi , ama e vai" (English title : Because we believe ) , this is "Credi in te" (Believe in yourself ). It sounds like like are trying to copy a little . He 's allright as a pop
