Lyrics:
Consider me dead if that's what you want
Gather around me, the day has come...

Straight through the threshold, the morning calls
Wasn't meant to be there, when I opened the door
You saw me begging, you saw me down on my knees
I felt defenseless, and you don't know how it feels

I have made up my mind every time
It's been dragged in the dirt
Every scar wears a thought
Leaving battles that I've loved

It's been hard, it's been fiercely infected
It's been dropped, it's been suddenly present
Cutting ways that I've walked
Earning miles through it all

I was late for the kill, but early for the slaughter
I don't care how it bleeds
I was late for the kill but stopped in to drag the waters
Turn the bitter to sleep

I do believe there's something more
Though my vision's blurred
Straight out of nowhere, with the lack of words
I've been given the time, I've been given the faith
Don't try to stop me, don't you lie to my face

I have made up my mind every time
It's been turned to prevail
Every word feeds the crown
To dictate the profound

It's been hard, it's been fiercely infected
It's been dropped, it's been suddenly present
Cutting ways that I've walked
Earning miles through it all...

Through it all...

I was late for the kill, but early for the slaughter
I don't care how it bleeds
I was late for the kill but stopped in to drag the waters
Turn the bitter to sleep

Just hear me out on this one
Cause I ain't got nothing to hide
I will wipe out this mess
And return to life

Consider me dead if that's what you want
Gather around me, the day is done...

Late for the kill...
Early for the slaughter...
Late for the kill...
Stopped in to drag the waters...

  • @STICKMAN2119

Typical American. Just know and like music wich is popular and mainstream......In Flames = getting better??? Lol the very old albums of In Flames are the most brilliant Melodic Death Metal. New albums of In Flames are just easy pop mainstream stuff so that every kiddie like you like it.

  • @ElexionExonAvalon wow pvp + metal = win

  • Good...but nothing like early Soilwork

  • 3:40 holy freakin' crap!!! did my stock apple earbuds grow freakin' subwoofers or something!? damn that was a bass overload!

  • @kseangel yea me too, i like bodom but their stuff is getting to americanized, but i just ingnore those albums and listen to their old stuff. do you listen to dissection? they're a case of going from black metal to melodic death

  • Both Soilwork and In Flames stuff has gotten better over the years imo, each of there last 3 albums kick ass!! coming from an American metal fan

  • @Fuckdisworld93 Yeah, they have definitely changed over the years, but in my opinion their early stuff, along with early In Flames, has shaped American metal, not the other way around. Although I may just be showing my age with this comment, in the last decade or two good bands have been trying too hard to "fit in" with mainstream, which is understandable, but I stand by my bands, even if I skip an album here and there.

  • @zTampa1337 yup, ignorant me

  • @kseangel lol i knew someone was gonna point that out. well i meant to say finnish then, but their stuff sounds mildly similar to american metal. like vocals and such. their drumming is most impressive though.

  • @Fuckdisworld93 The power of ignorance strikes yet again.
