i'm going on hajj in 5 days time and i came across this movie as one of the best of the last decade according to The Times website.. what a beautiful film..

la mort du pere signifie la mort de nos ancetres et nos parents qui ont accomplient leurs devoirs(ici c le hajj) et qui laissent à leurs enfants la responsabilite de porter le flambeau l islam. le jeune s'en foutait de tout (il avait une meuf!!) il lui fallait un drame pour qu'il comprenne:la mort du pere. on le voit à la fin il commence par donner la sadaqa;un bon debut et a vendu la bagnole respectant la volonte du defunt.allah nous guide tous
