@xsjado2010stockwell Blocking and tackling are 2 different things. Try tackling the QB or RB when you have someone blocking you, try catching a ball while having a defender hanging all over you to intercept it or knock it away. Try picking up blitzes. On the outside AF looks very easy , but some people who dont know the sport have no clue how difficult it all is.
@91gt306 Not really? wtf man? in AF you can tackle who you want.. in rugby it's only legal to tackle the person with the ball.. + you only normally see one pass in a play in AF and that's from the QB.. in rugby the whole team passes too eachother! makes it a whole lot harder.
@xsjado2010stockwell NO they are very different, its not all about hitting in the the game. Ray lewis is a hard hitter but at times he has to drop back in coverage, and unlike rugby theres blocking so its alot harder to make tackles, which is why on average rugby players will have more tackles in their careers then nfl players because theres so many other things in AF they have to do. And not only that but out of the 2, AF is the only one where you dont need to have the ball to get laid out.
@91gt306 The only difference is the way they play? you obviously havn't seen how rugby players train, In rugby you have the forwards and the backs right, well the forwards are trained to hit people hard, and the backs are trained to tackle and play moves, like the defence and offence in the NFL.. not all that different if you think about it
@xsjado2010stockwell And rugby is a much more different sport. Guys get messed up with in this sport all the time. They train to be explosiveness so their hits will be harder, rugby isnt as damaging.
