German (?) release on Ariola in September 1975. This Tunesian n°1 song became the basis of Boney M's millionseller Ma Baker in 1977. I also have another more traditional take of the song by Hanesh dating back to the early 70s, perhaps even older. Additional info welcome.

This is the first danceable version of SIDI MANSOUR later on copied by Frank Farian with Boney M's Ma Baker. I played the guitarcords and rhythm track.
In 1975 I discovered this traditional song in Tunisia and recorded it with my arrangement with the group and released the single in the various countries of Europe, a number 1 in the discotheques including Tunisia and other Arab countries. Frank Farian later went with the money of it with his Boney M

A great version preceding that by Saber Reba'i by many years. This is a gem.
