  • I am really new to GIMP and photo editing so I don't understand a lot. This video is great, easy to follow and I accomplished the 3d effect, but was left hanging at adding a background. Could you please tell me how to do that?

  • Sorry about that I just created a layer below the "dog layer" and added a color (colour) gradient. You could do this at any time and even use another image to add to your effect. I hope that helps.

  • how do you restore the first screen that pops up

  • The first menu that pops up is the layer options menu - it'll pop up each time you click on the layer icon, in the layers pallet

  • It may be usefull if you show the result first.

This has the advantage that i understand WHY you select this area and so on...

And plz give your vids a title.

    Very nice tutorials!

  • Thanks for the feedback

  • cool clip thanks for sharing ..

  • cool tut the only problem i noticed was that the dogs hair on neck doesnt match the hair on the head from ur erasing i would either preserve that fluffed dog fur on head or remove the fluff on the neck to the whole image is consistant

  • Good job buddy!

  • Why don't i have the dialogs option?

  • Great tutorial. Very well done.

  • Thanks!! this vid was very helpful.

  • Cool thanks, gave me some ideas. Your accent does fluctuate between Aussie, American and I think there's a bit of South African in there too. I think its cool.

  • my selection does not delete using my delete button, ive come across this problem before please help?? thanks

  • Got to where you delete the shrunk selection by pressing the delete key and wasn't able to to delete the smaller image.

  • Way to be a dick, TheGuyInUrCloset.
