GigaTribe, A New solution to an Old problem

Sharing files between friends or colleagues has never been better. With GigaTribe, you are able to retrieve files off of another user without having to ask!

After hearing about GigaTribe and what they have to offer from CES, i knew right away that this would be a great program that can be put into practical use.


With Gigatribe, i can designate what friends or colleagues can view what folders. This is great because you don't have to upload anything to an external server, People take the files directly from your hard drive. Transferring files this was doesn't only make it more secure, but it also allows you to have no size limit. (Unlike e-mail or a Thumb Drive)


Take this as an example as to how i put this program to use...

One of my jobs here at GamesOnSmash is a Graphics Designer, instead of sending our webmaster every file i create as I'm working on it, i set up a folder which i save all my graphic work to and he gets the opportunity to download it as soon as i save it.

SECURITY:
Gigatribe is as secure as it needs to be. As they say on there website, "Security is, of course, GigaTribes major concern"
Only the people youve invited can see your files.
Only the folders you have selected are visible to your contacts.
Every exchange is strongly encrypted - No-one can know what is being exchanged.
You're even able to assign passwords to any Folders you choose.


SIMPLICITY:
Take 5-10 minutes out of you're day to mess around with this and you will know all you need. Once you get your friends to Download GigaTribe, you will no longer have to resort to sending files through Skype, MSN or AIM. Getting a file off of your friend is easy as can be, as long as he is willing to share it with you.


PRACTICALITY:
For those who want to large amounts of files, this is as practical as it gets.

DRAWBACKS:

There isn't a working MAC or LINUX client yet, GigaTribe is currently only available on the WINDOWS Platform.


Anyway, From the moment i watched the Gigatribe Interview By Don (shown here), i knew this product was going to change the way i share files between family, friends, and colleagues.
