Joe: sorry it took so long for me to come in.

Demi: it's okay i didn't really want you to see me like this. if i didn't want to make sure the kids were alright i wouldn't have let them in.

Joe: how do you feel?

Demi: just really tired.

Joe: then sleep?

Demi: i'm gonna wait for the kids .... where are they?

Joe: Trace is with them. they found the play room.

Demi: mmm that explains it.

Selena: *comes in and grabs flowers*

Demi: thank you sel

Selena: no problem *leaves*

Nick: *does the same*

Joe: are they taking the flowers home?

Demi: no i don't want them. i hope they are giving them to people who need them

Joe: who gave them to you?

Demi: my mother.

Joe: oh i see *sits next to her*

Demi: your lucky Josh is having a good day.

Joe: yeah i'm hoping he has a good week.

Demi: don't count on that. he hasn't had a good week since he was 3.

Joe: *sighs* i guess this is just another test then huh?

Demi: yeah, Selena will help you and Trace seems to be helping.

Joe: He's a good guy.

Joe: (she closes her eyes and i let a tear fall she was so small so pale i grab her hand and kiss it )

Nick: *watching* (good for you Joe.)

Amber: Auntie lena *runs downstairs*

Joe: she's with your mom

Amber: Joshy threw up.

Joe: i knew i was getting off to easy *runs upstairs*

*****a week later******
Joe: Step

Demi: i'm weak not blind joe *goes up the step into her house*

Selena: should we put her in bed or on the couch?

Demi: don't i get a say?

Joe: where do you want to be?

Demi: my bed please

Selena: can you make the stairs?

Joe: *picks her up bridle style*

Demi: mmm it's nice to have a fire fighter as a boyfriend *leans her head on his shoulder*

Joe: your light *goes upstairs*

Demi: thanks

Selena: i'm gonna start dinner. Trace should be home with the kids soon.

Demi: okay

Joe: *goes into Demi's room and lays her in bed*

Demi: i wish i wasn't so tired

Joe: Danielle said you'd be sleeping a lot

Demi: i know i just don't want to sleep anymore.

Joe: sleep is good.

Demi: *pouts as she starts to fall asleep*

Joe: night night *kisses her forehead*

******Dinner******
Selena: alright so we all have to talk about your mom being home.

Josh: why is not she eating with us?

Miley: your mom is out of the hospital but she's still going to be very tired for the next couple days.

Amber: Whys?

Selena: cause Anemia makes you tired.

Joe: your mom has to eat a lot of meat over the next few months too.

Amber: i like meat

Josh: me too

Joe: good cause we're gonna be eating a lot of it.

Amber: auntie lena don't you have to work?

Selena: yep *takes her last bite* i'll see you guys tomorrow *kisses both the cheeks* don't wake your mother and be good for Joe *grabs her bag and leaves*

Nick: *opens the door* Sel? what are you doing here?

Selena: i got fired
