American Clean Energy And Security Act of 2009
To create clean energy jobs, achieve energy independence, reduce global warming pollution and transition to a clean energy economy.

This is the Waxman-Markley comprehensive energy bill, known for short as "ACES," that includes a cap-and-trade global warming reduction plan designed to reduce economy-wide greenhouse gas emissions 17 percent by 2020. Other provisions include new renewable requirements for utilities, studies and incentives regarding new carbon capture and sequestration technologies, energy efficiency incentives for homes and buildings, and grants for green jobs, among other things.

This bill will cause US manufacturers to move their businesses overseas, to South America etc where there are no or very little Environmental Protections in place. People here act like the US has it own private atmoshphere and what the rest of the world is doing won't affect us. It's a one world atmosphere. I really feel this and rampant spending by our government is going to cripple America in a way that none have seen. This did not start with Obama it has been building for decades.

This Act (HR 2454) will do nothing but increase costs because other industrial countries refuse to join the movement. Cap and trade will just make energy more costly and put more money in the pockets of ppl like Al Gore (who is a stakeholder in one of the companies that will conduct CO2 credit exchanges).
