Press block (square button) just as he moves in to grab you. Moment he stoops, hit square. Your character counters with a kick to the head and gets up. Timing is everything in Urban Reign.

Hi, can you tell me how can I get free from a submission grip on the ground? Jake performs the grappling so fast, I dont have time to get on my feet, , just like Vera and other grapplers.

He's a solid char. Really good defence and throw damage almost rivaling that of Golem and Napalm99.
He only lacks combos, weapon usage and crowd control. In terms of combos, it doesn't really matter too much anyway because almost any combo in this game can be interrupted. The fact that Jake does alot of single damage hits is better than combos.
