Hate Fuel Saving Car - Is this commercial hateful? Paris Hilton fuel policy

With sky high gas prices the whole world is trying to come up with fuel saving cars. Nissan came out with this ad showing anger over a fuel efficient car. I agree that sometimes commercials do offend sometimes they are not understood. What do you think? Is charging or paying high prices for fuel a justification for trying to economize, and is this reason to offend?
You should know that a large part of my family are of arab descent, of course, we have Latin American and Asian roots too. so I am very sensitive to offending others, as I have been personally been the victim of similar attacks by other cultures.

What do you think? Is this keeping in line with Paris Hilton fuel policy?
